Field work, by a vetted local specialist. Dead and dying fronds, seed stalks and fruit removed on a schedule, before a storm turns them into projectiles. Healthy green fronds stay on the tree: over-lifting a sabal palm into a hurricane cut weakens it and is not what your palms need, whatever the truck in the neighborhood is selling. Debris hauled off. Residential site plan drafting
Drawn by New Roots Development. Pool, addition, outdoor kitchen, hardscape, fence and drainage exhibits drafted from your surveyor’s boundary and topographic data. Setbacks, easements, impervious area and drainage shown the way the reviewers expect to see them.
As-built and record drawings
Drawn by New Roots Development. Drawings of what was actually built, from your surveyor’s as-built data or from field measurement, for closeout, resale files and future work on the property.
Drone imagery and progress documentation
Flown by New Roots Development. Dated aerial imagery of a custom home or renovation from foundation to finish, flown under LAANC authorization in the controlled airspace over this part of the city by an FAA Part 107 remote pilot.
Landscape and hardscape base plans
Drawn by New Roots Development. Accurate base drawings for landscape designers and pool contractors, with existing trees, grades, utilities and structures located so the design fits the lot.
Submittal review and takeoffs
By New Roots Development. A completeness check of your package against the architectural review requirements and the City of Myrtle Beach checklist before you submit, plus earthwork, paving, drainage and hardscape quantities itemized for pricing or for checking a subcontractor’s bid.

Questions we get
Do you trim the palms yourselves?
No. The trimming is done by an independent local specialist who is licensed and insured for that work. We scope the job, schedule it, and stay on it until you are happy with it. You have one number to call either way.
Are you paid by the companies you send out?
Sometimes, yes, a referral fee from the specialist. It does not change your price, and we will tell you who is coming before they come. If you would rather hire them directly, that is fine and we will say so.
How often do palms need trimming?
Most sabal palms here want it once a year, ahead of hurricane season, and some properties prefer twice. What comes off is dead and dying fronds, seed stalks and fruit. Green fronds are the tree's food and a hurricane cut does more harm than a storm usually does.
Can you do the survey for my pool permit?
No. A boundary or topographic survey that carries a seal comes from a licensed South Carolina land surveyor. We draft the site plan exhibit from that survey and coordinate with the surveyor directly if you like.
Do you know the Grande Dunes review requirements?
We work from the published requirements and the City of Myrtle Beach checklist, and we check your package against them. Interpretation and approval belong to the review board and the city.
Can you fly a drone over my house?
Yes, with your permission as the owner or your builder's. This part of the city is inside controlled airspace for Myrtle Beach International Airport, so flights are scheduled under LAANC authorization.
Do you work outside Grande Dunes?
Not through this service. Grande Dunes Services runs from 67th Avenue North up to Kings Road at Restaurant Row, both sides of the Intracoastal Waterway, and the newest Grande Dunes section in North Myrtle Beach. We do not take work outside of this area. Drafting, as-built drawings and drone work anywhere else on the Grand Strand go through New Roots Development, LLC at myrtlebeach.engineering and myrtlebeachdrone.co.
